Silversmith Mizuho Koizumi graduated at Royal college of Art in 2001 and produces tableware, specialising in vases and scented objects. Recent exhibitions "Juxtapositions" New work by Kate Schuricht and MIzuho Kozumi at the Blackwell House, April - June 2008 and "Rising Stars" at the Goldsmiths' Company in 2007.

Mizuho Koizumi's work combines man-made materials with plant life. Her design philosophy is to create pieces that fuse these elements so that they " appear to be growing together in harmony to recreate the silent beauty that plants possess." Her work pays homage to flowers and plants such as the majestic rose, the fiery magnolia, the patriotic thistle and weeping willow, which in essence touches the emotions of viewer.

Mizuho's new work expands on her development of an intricate process of weaving with silver to create sculptural yet functional open-weave basket forms, each incorporating a flower vase. Her pieces are designed to blend into a domestic setting, being both practical and decorative.
